Rickey Brown III, known as "RBIII", is a dancer, actor, singer and songwriter. He specializes in R&B/Neo-Soul, Jazz, & Gospel music. Rickey hails from the sunny state of California, by way of Tallassee, Alabama. He earned a Bachelor's in Music with Business Studies and Jazz Voice minor at Howard University.
Some of his on-campus activities included: being a proud initiate of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity of America, participating in the Stellar Award nominated Howard Gospel Choir, and singing in the Premiere Jazz Acapella Ensemble Afro-Blue.
Throughout the Greater Washington Area community, Rickey has performed at venues such as the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Arena Stage Theatre, and the National Museum of African American History and Culture. Rickey is also the founder of Dollars for Scholars Foundation, Inc. It is a nonprofit scholarship organization that assists in providing students with resources and services, to find, apply, and win scholarships.
